Scarlet Begonias is the creation and dream-come-true of Doug and Colleen Lavallee. They met 20 years ago at Johnson & Wales College when both were aspiring chefs. After years of perfecting their skills in restaurants in Rhode Island, Connecticut and Maine, Scarlet Begonias was launched the day after Thanksgiving, 1995. Hundreds of happy customers have given thanks since then for their delicious meals!
Working with Doug and Colleen are sons Hugh and Steve, daughter Sallie, and a sizeable staff of local young people.
